Partying youth sent packing

Police responding to a noise complaint call July 20 found a raucous house party going on in the 800-block of Victoria Avenue.

They discovered roughly 120 youth in the home, many of whom were drinking. The 57-year-old homeowner co-operated with police, who did not issue him a ticket for allowing minors to drink in his home.

Deputy Chief Kent Thom said officers monitored the behavior of youth who were leaving and dumped out liquor. One minor was handed a ticket for liquor possession.
