Talk reflects on when horses, rail cars were rapid transit

Early Years of Rapid Transit looks at getting around in Oak Bay

Rapid transit wasn’t always the multimillion-dollar system proposed for Greater Victoria today. Past-president of the B.C. Historical Federation, Ron Greene, looks back at past incarnations of rapid transit in Oak Bay at a talk called The Early Years of Rapid Transit in Oak Bay. It happens today (Oct. 19) at 7 p.m. at Windsor Park Pavilion, 2451 Windsor Rd. Admission is by donation and refreshments will be served.
