The Oak Bay News welcomed the community to Oak Bay United Church on June 22 for its third annual reader appreciation tea.

The church hospitality team outdid itself again as guests were treated to a wide array of tasty tea sandwiches and treats inlcuding fresh picked local strawberries with cream.

Pouring tea for the afternoon were Oak Bay Acting Mayor Hazel Braithwaite and Jason Hodge, executive director Oak Bay Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation. The foundation also found support among the guests who donated to the cause.
