Craigdarroch welcomes Wales castle curator

Talk focuses on transformation of the castle in the 1870s

Learn about one of Wales’ most famous castles next week.

Craigdarroch Castle welcomes Matthew Williams, curator of the Cardiff Castle in Wales, for a presentation on the castle that is more than 2,000 years old and dates back to Roman times.

Williams will focus on the transformation of the castle in the 1870s by architect William Burges, who created 15 imaginative interiors, including an Arab room, a Pompeian roof garden and rooms with an astrological theme.
