The CG Jung Society of Victoria is sponsoring a lecture by John Betts on Friday, May 4.
His topic is Active Imagination and the Transcendent Function. Betts is a Zurich trained Jungian analyst who maintains a private practice in Victoria
In his lecture, Betts will describe classical understandings of the transcendent function and then show how online analysis and Skype demonstrate the transcendent function to both analyst and analysand.
The lecture is at the David Strong Building, C116, at UVic at 7:30. Admission is $10 for members, $15 for non-members and $5 for students. A deeper examination of the topic is possible at a workshop the following day, May 5 at 10 a.m., at Fairfield Community Centre, 1330 Fairfield Rd. Register at lynnshawringham@shaw.ca.
